      I. Ganev, D. Jordan, and P. Safronov study quantized character varieties, and quantized multiplicative quiver varieties, when the quantization parameter is a root of unity. They describe these quantized moduli spaces as Azumaya algebras, i.e., étale-locally, they are sheaves of matrix algebras, over an explicitly given open locus on the spectrum of their centers. In the quiver examples, this spectrum is the classical multiplicative quiver variety, while for character variety examples it is the classical character variety.\N\NThe authors' proofs exploit a strong compatibility between quantum Hamiltonian reduction and the quantum Frobenius homomorphism as well as a natural nondegeneracy condition satisfied by each of the classical Hamiltonian spaces. They therefore introduce the concepts of Frobenius quantum moment maps, Frobenius Poisson orders and their Hamiltonian reductions, and apply them to the study of Azumaya loci.
