Recently it is shown in [\textit{V. Yu. Protasov} and \textit{T. Zaitseva}, Appl. Comput. Harmon. Anal. 75, Article ID 101727, 20 p. (2025; Zbl 1555.65189)] that the tile \(B\)-splines can be 'supersmooth', that is, their smoothness can exceed that of classical \(B\)-splines of the same order. In addition to this result, the author evaluate the smoothness of tile \(B\)-splines in \(W^k_2(\mathbb{R}^n)\) by applying a method developed recently and based on Littlewood-Paley type estimates for refinement equations. Moreover, the method is adapted for tile \(B\)-splines, thereby obtaining 20 families with the property of supersmoothness. The hypothesis is put forward that this classification is complete if the number of digits is smal.
