The authors introduce two novel spectral concepts for discrete-time nonautonomous linear systems with bounded invertible coefficients. The first is the Bohl spectrum, which generalises the concept of Bohl exponents to define a spectral set based on the growth rates of solutions over one-dimensional subspaces. The second is the Bohl dichotomy spectrum, which is based on a relaxed version of exponential dichotomy termed Bohl dichotomy, allowing growth bounds to depend on initial conditions. The authors prove spectral theorems stating that the Bohl spectrum is the union of at most disjoint intervals, each corresponding to subspaces of solutions with similar growth behavior. They also show that the Bohl dichotomy spectrum is the closure of the Bohl spectrum and is contained within the classical exponential dichotomy spectrum.
