This paper studies the gamma factors \(\gamma(s,\pi\times\tau, \psi)\) where \(\pi\) is a generic automorphic representation of \(U_{2n+1}\) and \(\tau\) is a generic automorphic representation of a general linear group, which are defined through the Rankin-Selberg method. The authors prove most of the key expected properties of gamma factors, termed ``ten commandments'' by Lapid-Rallis. In particular, they establish the multiplicity of the gamma factors.\N\NAt the archimedean field, the results are conditional on the fact that the Rankin-Selberg integrals satisfy the expected analytic properties such as meromorphic continuation, which has yet to be established.\N\NAs a consequence, the gamma factors defined by Rankin-Selberg method matches those defined by Langlands-Shahidi method. Previously Q. Zhang studied these gamma factors, but there is a difference of normalization between his definition and the definition used in this paper. Similar results for other groups (such as even unitary group, other classical groups) were obtained previously by Sourdry, Kaplan, and Morimoto. The paper follows similar lines for the proof.
