Calabi-Yau manifolds have extensive studies in the literature. Due to \textit{M. Reid}'s fantasy [Math. Ann. 278, 329--334 (1987; Zbl 0649.14021)], it is necessary to study non-Kähler Calabi-Yau threefolds, if one considers the moduli space of Calabi-Yau threefolds. As observed by \textit{R. Friedman} [Pure Appl. Math. Q. 15, No. 4, 1001--1028 (2019; Zbl 1439.32037)] and \textit{C. Li} [Math. Ann. 389, No. 1, 525--541 (2024; Zbl 1546.32003)], the conifold transition of a Calabi-Yau threefold supports the \(\partial \overline{\partial}\)-lemma.\N\NMotivated by these above results, the author studies the finite distance problem with respect to the period map metric on the moduli of non-Kähler Calabi-Yau \(\partial \overline{\partial}\)-threefolds via Hodge theory. The author also obtains a sufficient condition such that a non-Kähler Calabi-Yau threefold acquires the \(\partial \overline{\partial}\)-lemma.
