A finite subgroup \(G \subset \mathrm{GL}(V)\) acting on a complex vector space \(V\) is a complex reflection group if and only if the ring of invariants in \(\mathbb{C}[V]\) is a (freely generated) polynomial ring. Generators consisting of algebraically independent homogeneous polynomials are called basic invariants. \textit{I. Satake} [``Good basic invariants and Frobenius structures'', Preprint, \url{arXiv:2004.01871}], introduced a notion of good basic invariants.\N\NThe paper under review provides a reduction theorem for good basic invariants. For certain \(G\) and certain numbers \(\delta\), a subgroup \(G_{\delta}\) acting on a subspace of \(V\) is defined. It is shown that a set of good basic invariants of \(G\) induces that of \(G_\delta\) under the natural restriction. Moreover, if \(G\) is a duality group, a potential vector field of \(G\) also induces that of \(G_\delta\). Examples of this reduction procedure occupy a big part of the paper.
