A version of Lagrangian intersection theory in contact geometry is presented. This is an extension of a previous result given by Hofer and which is valid only for very restrictive contact manifolds. It is shown that under an estimate of Hamiltonian functions of contact flow it is possible to construct the Floer homology. Then, a version of the Arnold conjecture is formulated for a wide class of contact manifolds. The proof of the results is based on the estimation of Hofer's symplectic energy and also on the construction of the homomorphism between Floer homologies of different contact homomorphisms.
