The boundedness and convergence of the Durrmeyer type neural network operators are established in the general framework of Orlicz spaces, denoted by \(L^{\phi}([a,b])\), where \([a,b]\subset\mathbb{R}\) is an interval and \(\phi\) is the Orlicz function. Some numerical illustrations of the presented theory through graphs and error-tables are given. The studied Durrmeyer type neural network operators were introduced in [\textit{L. Coroianu} et al., J. Appl. Math. Comput. 70, 4581--4599 (2024; Zbl 1569.41013)].
