In the paper, the authors use inverse limits to study the Jacobian conjecture over field of characteristic \(p\). They proved that a homomorphisms of \(K[x_1,\ldots,x_n]\) \(\varphi\) is an automorphism if \(\operatorname{det}J\varphi\in K^*\) and \(\varphi\) preserves the maximal ideals of \(K[x_1,\ldots,x_n]\), where \(\operatorname{Char} K=p\) or 0.
