It is well known that the Vilenkin group \(V_p\) is associated with the cyclic group \(\mathbb{Z}_p\). The authors generalize the group \(V_p\) by replacing \(\mathbb{Z}_p\) with a finite Abelian group \(G\). A description of characters for such groups is given, a Haar type system is defined, and the corresponding Walsh type functions are introduced. It is shown that the basic facts of harmonic analysis on these groups are the same as in the classical Walsh analysis. Note that, for the case \(p=4\) (in which \(G\) is the Klein group), some of these constructions were discussed earlier in [\textit{M.~A. Skopina} and \textit{Yu.~A. Farkov}, Math. Notes 111, No.~4, 643--647 (2022; Zbl 1490.42029); translation from Mat. Zametki 111, No.~4, 631--635 (2022)].
