The author considers the Ginzburg-Landau equation on thin domains given by \[ \Omega(\varepsilon)=\{(x_1,x_2,x_3) \mid \;0<x_3<\varepsilon a(x_1,x_2),\;(x_1,x_2)\in D\}. \] He supposes \(\Omega(\epsilon)\) is smooth, \(a\) is a positive smooth function, and \(D\supset\bigcup_{j=1}^N D_j\), \(D_j\) some domains. For \(\int_{D\backslash\bigcup_{j=1}^ND_j}a(x')\,dx'\) small enough, he proves the existence of stable, non constant solutions for small \(\varepsilon\). These solutions converge to given solutions \(\Psi_j\) on \(D_j\). The conditions on \(\Omega(\varepsilon)\) include the cases that \(D\) consists of \(N\) disjoint disks joined by small channels, and one domain (\(N=1\)) with \(a\) small on some disks contained in \(D\).
