"This article discusses the existence and multiplicity of solutions to \(-\Delta u-\Delta_q u+\lambda u=g(u)\) in \(\mathbb{R}^N\), subject to \(\|u\|_{L^2(\mathbb{R}^N)}=c>0\). Here, \(\lambda\in \mathbb{R}\), \(1<q<N\), \(\Delta_q=\operatorname{div}(|\nabla u|""^{q-2}\nabla u)\) is the \(q\)-Laplace operator. The nonlinearity \(g\in C(\mathbb{R})\) and \(g(t)/t\to -\infty\) as \(t\to 0\). Under some conditions on the data, it is proved the existence of a continuum of weak solutions. The approach is variational and combines energy estimates, perturbsation techniques and properties of Palais-Smale sequences."
