The pointed conics of the projective plane PG\((2,q), q\) even, are the ovals obtained from a conic by exchanging a point with the nucleus of the conic. According to \textit{M. R. Brown} [J. Geom. 67, No. 1--2, 61--72 (2000; Zbl 0974.51007)], an ovoid of PG\((3,q)\) contains such a pointed conic if and only if \(q=4\) and the ovoid is an elliptic quadric, or \(q=8\) and the ovoid is a Tits ovoid. The authors prove the following main result. An egg in PG\((4n-1, q), q\) even, contains a pseudo-pointed conic if and only if the egg is contained in a desarguesian spread, and the corresponding ovoid is as above.
