The elements of a (real, finite-dimensional) Euclidean Jordan algebra are linear combinations (of limited length) of idempotents. This spectral decomposition is used to define the positive elements. In terms of this order the authors define various properties of linear transformations extending a number of properties that are equivalent for matrices whose all principal minors are positive. Relations between these extended concepts and restrictions to the symmetric matrices are studied.
