The authors study Hardy spaces on the boundary of a smooth open subset of \(\mathbb{R}^n\). They prove that these spaces defined either through the intrinsic maximal function or through Poisson integrals are identical. This extends results already known for the unit ball to any smooth open subset of \(\mathbb{R}^n\). Lastly, they discuss holomorphic Hardy spaces \(H^{p}(\Omega)\), \(\Omega \subset \mathbb{C}^n\), and prove that every \(f \in H^{p}(\Omega)\) has a weak boundary value \(b f \in H^{p}(\partial \Omega)\) of which it is its Poisson integral. They also prove an ``F. and M. Riesz theorem'' showing that if a measure in \(\partial \Omega\) is the boundary value of a holomorphic function defined on \(\Omega\), it must be absolutely continuous with respect to the Lebesgue measure.
