Linear systems on Fano threefolds. II. (Q706127)

Let \(X\) be a smooth Fano threefold defined over the field of complex numbers and let \(H\) be an ample line bundle on \(X\). In the first part [Commun. Algebra 32, No. 7, 2711--2721 (2004; Zbl 1083.14045)], the author has classified this \((X,H)\) with \(\text{Bs}| H| \not= \emptyset\). In this paper, first the author proves that \(H\) is very ample except for nine special types of \((X,H)\). Moreover the author proves that for a nef divisor \(N\) on \(X\) the complete linear system \(| N| \) is base point free except for three special types of \((X,N)\). The author gives also several applications of these results.
