The authors consider the following Cauchy-Dirichlet problem for a nonlinear parabolic equation \[ \begin{cases} u_t - \operatorname{div}\left(\frac{1}{(1+|u|)^{\alpha}}|Du|^{p-2}Du\right) =f &\text{in }\Omega\times(0,T),\\ u=0 & \text{on }\partial\Omega\times(0,T),\\ u(x,0)=u_0(x) &\text{in }\Omega,\end{cases} \] where \( T>0\), \(\Omega\subset \mathbb R^n\), \(n \geq 2\), \(1<p<n\), \(\alpha\geq 0\), \(f\in L^\infty (0,T;L^q(\Omega))\), with \(q > n/p\), and \(u_0\) is a bounded function. Making use of the method of semidiscretization in time, a comparison between solutions of suitable coercive parabolic problems approximating the one under consideration is established. The authors obtain also the boundedness of the solution.
