Drinfeld realization of affine quantum algebras: the relations (Q713093)

In these notes the author studies in detail the Drinfeld realization \(U^{\text{Dr}}_{q}(\mathfrak{g})\) of affine quantum algebras \(\mathfrak{g}\). The defining relations are simplified and used to present a homomorphism from this realization to the Drinfeld-Jimbo presentation \(U_{q}(\mathfrak{g})\). Moreover, as a step to show that both are presentations of the same algebra, the homomorphism is proved to be surjective. The paper is well-written and contains almost all computations. This might help the interested reader to understand better the structure of both presentations and its relation.
