Huppert's conjecture states that if \(G\) is a finite group and \(H\) is a non-Abelian simple group with \(\mathrm{cd}(G)=\mathrm{cd}(H)\), then \(G\) is isomorphic to \(H\times A\), where \(A\) is Abelian and \(\mathrm{cd}(G)\) denotes the set of irreducible character degrees of \(G\). In previous papers B. Huppert, S. H. Alavi, A. Daneshkhah, H. P. Tong-Viet and T. Wakefield verified the conjecture for all the sporadic simple groups except the Monster and the Baby Monster. In the paper under review the authors verify the conjecture for the Monster and the Baby Monster as well.
