For an oriented Riemannian manifod \(M\), one denotes by \(\operatorname{SO}(M)\) its oriented orthonormal frame bundle. The existence of a geometric structure compatible with the Riemannian structure on \(M\) is equivalent to a reduction \(P\) of the structure group of \(\operatorname{SO}(M)\) to a certain subgroup \(G\) of \(\operatorname{SO}(\dim M)\). The \(G\)-structure is minimal if \(P\) is a minimal submanifold of \(\operatorname{SO}(M)\) equipped with the natural Riemannian metric. In [SIGMA, Symmetry Integrability Geom. Methods Appl. 12, Paper 107, 14 p. (2016; Zbl 1355.53023)] the author gave a necessary and sufficient condition for the minimality of a \(G\)-structure. Nevertheless, because this condition is rather complicated, it is not easy to give non-trivial examples of minimal \(G\)-structures. In this article, the author provides such non-trivial examples. As a first situation, an locally conformally Kähler manifold \((M^{2n},g,J)\) is considered and the author gives a necessary and sufficient condition for a \(\mathrm{U}(n)\)-structure of \(M\) to be minimal. Moreover, it is proved that if the Lee form is parallel and the \(\mathrm{U}(n)\)-structure is a harmonic map, then it is minimal. In particular, the \(U(n)\)-structure on any Hopf manifold is minimal. In a second example the author focuses on an \(\alpha\)-Kenmotsu manifold \(M^{2n+1}\). An easy condition for the minimality of a \(\mathrm{U}(n)\times 1\)-structure on \(M\) is obtained. As a particular example, the hyperbolic space \(H^{2n+1}\) is considered.
