Let \(\phi\) be a nonnegative integrable function on the interval \((0,1)\), whose essential support contains the point~0, and which satisfies the \(\Delta_2\)-condition, i.e., \(\phi(2t)\leq C\phi(t)\) for some constant \(C\) for all \(0<t<\frac12\). Set \(\Phi(n)=1\big/\int_0^{1/n}\phi(t)\,dt\), and let \(n_s\), \(s=0,1,\dots\), be any sequence of natural numbers such that \[ \sum_{s=1}^\infty \bigg( \frac1{\Phi(n_s)} \prod_{k=0}^{s-1} \Phi(n_k) \bigg)^{q/p} <\infty, \] and such that the terms of the last series decrease; here \(p\geq2\) and \(\frac1p+\frac1q=1\). Then there exists a function~\(f\), \(f(0)=1\), holomorphic on \(|z|<1\) and belonging to the weighted Bergman space~\(A^p_\phi\),~i.e., \[ \iint_{|z|<1} |f(z)|^p \, \phi(1-|z|^2) \, dA(z) <\infty \] (where \(dA\) is the Lebesgue area measure), whose zeroes \(z_k\), \(k=1,2,\dots\), arranged in the order of increasing modulus and with multiplicities taken into account, satisfy \[ 1-|z_{n_s}| \sim \frac1p \cdot \frac{\log\Phi(n_s)}{n_s}, \qquad s\to\infty . \] This refines a number of earlier results due to Horowitz, Sedletskii, and other authors.
