In this article, it is proven that there exists a positive solution to \(-\Delta u-\alpha u=|u|^{p-2}u\) in \(\Omega^\circ\) with Dirichlet boundary condition \(u=0\) on \(\partial \Omega\) for any \(p>2\) provided that \(\alpha<\lambda_1(\Omega)\), where \(\lambda_1(\Omega)\) denotes the first eigenvalue of the usual graph Laplacian \(-\Delta\). Here, \(\Omega^\circ\) and \(\partial \Omega\) denote the interior and the boundary of the bounded domain \(\Omega\), respectively. Additionally, similar problems that involve the \(p\)-Laplacian and poly-Laplacian are considered. These problems can be viewed as discrete versions of the Yamabe type equations on Euclidean space or compact Riemannian manifolds.
