The authors introduce the directional tensor product complex tight framelets \(TP-\mathbb C TF_m^{\downarrow}\) called reduced \(TP-\mathbb C T F_m\) with low reduncancy. These are particular examples of tight framelet filterbanks with mixed sampling. In particular, they have produced \(TP-\mathbb C T F_6^{\downarrow}\) (as well as \(TP-\mathbb C T F_6^{\downarrow}\)) that perform as good as the original \(TP-\mathbb C T F_6\) with low reduncancy. They numerically show that \(TP-\mathbb C T F_6^{\downarrow}\) performs comparably with the other well known systems but their constructions provide low reduncancy as compared to those well known systems.
