The work discusses the properties of a solution for the equation \(\mu(u)_t - u_{txx} + 2\mu(u)u_x - 2u_xu_{xx} - uu_{xxx} + \lambda(\mu(u) - u_{xx})= 0\) with a given initial value \(u(0,x) = u_0(x) \in H^s, s>3/2\) and the periodic boundary condition \(u(t,x + 1) = u(t,x)\). Here the term \( \lambda(\mu(u) - u_{xx})\) represents the energy dissipation and governs an asymptotic behaviour of the solution: the authors reveal the local well-posedness of the solution and determine the maximal time of existence for the strong solution as well as analyze the blow-up process in details. Finally it is proven the existence of a global solution in dependence on the initial combination \(\mu_0- u_{0xx} (x)\in H^1\).
