Let \(\Gamma\) be a graph embedded in \(S^3\). Its \textit{orientation preserving topological symmetry group} is the subgroup of the automorphism group of the underlying abstract graph of \(\Gamma\) that is induced by the orientation preserving homeomorphisms of \(S^3\) that restrict to homeomorphisms of \(\Gamma\). In this paper it is determined for which values of \(n\) the complete bipartite graph \(K_{n,n}\) has an embedding with orientation preserving topological symmetry group isomorphic to the groups \(A_4\), \(S_4\), and \(A_5\) (i.e., the symmetry groups of regular polyhedra). In [\textit{E. Flapan} et al., Comment. Math. Helv. 80, No. 2, 317--354 (2005; Zbl 1074.05026)] it was shown that a group can be realised as the orientation preserving topological symmetry group of a 3-connected graph if and only if it is a finite subgroup of \(\mathrm{SO}(4)\), and that every such subgroup can be realised as the orientation preserving topological symmetry group of an embedding of \(K_{n,n}\). Since all finite subgroups of \(\mathrm{SO}(4)\) arise as quotients of products of \(\mathbb{Z}_n\), \(D_n\), \(A_4\), \(S_4\), and \(A_5\), this paper serves as a step towards characterising which \(K_{n,n}\) have embeddings that realize subgroups of \(\mathrm{SO}(4)\) as their topological symmetry groups.
