In order to study a Poisson manifold \(M\), it is natural to require the existence of a Lie group-like object integrating the Lie algebra \(C(M)\). In this paper, the author considers actually the Lie algebroid structure induced on \(T^\ast M\) by the Poisson structure. He constructs a corank-one Poisson manifold of strong compact type. He then revisits the moduli theory of marked K3 surfaces from a geometrical point of view. He finally shows how equivariant mappings give rise to Poisson manifolds of strong compact type.
