Let \(p\) be a prime, \(A\) be the mod \(p\) Steenrod algebra, \(\mathcal{M}\) be the category of \(A\)-modules and \(\mathcal{U}\) be the category of unstable \(A\)-modules. The destabilization functor \(D: \mathcal{M} \rightsquigarrow \mathcal{U}\) is the left adjoint to the inclusion \(\mathcal{U} \hookrightarrow \mathcal{M}\); it is right exact and has nontrivial left derived functors \(D_{s}: \mathcal{M} \rightsquigarrow \mathcal{U}, \; s \geq 0\). See [\textit{J. Lannes} and \textit{S. Zarati}, Math. Z. 194, 25--59 (1987; Zbl 0627.55014)] and [\textit{S. Zarati}, in: The Fuller index and \(\mathbb{T}\)-equivariant stable homotopy theory. Théorie de l'homotopie, Colloq. CNRS--NSF--SMF, Luminy/Fr. 1988, Astérisque 191, 285--298 (1990; Zbl 0756.55013)]. In this paper, the author constructs a functorial chain complex to calculate the derived functor of the destabilization for odd prime. The ideas of proofs are inspired by the argument of \textit{W. M. Singer} [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 16, 85--97 (1980; Zbl 0412.55011)] for the case of the derived functors of iterated loop functors.
