In the paper, the authors study heteroclinic solution of the equation \[ \ddot{x}(t) = a(\varepsilon t)V'(x(t)), \quad t \in \mathbb R, \] under conditions on the function \(V\), which guarantee that points \((x, \dot{x}) = (\pm 1, 0)\) are fixed points. In [\textit{D. Bonheure} and \textit{L. Sanchez}, ``Heteroclinic orbits for some classes of second and fourth order differential equation'', in: Handbook of differential equations. Amsterdam: Elsevier (1997), Chapter 2] there were considered 8 different conditions on the function \(a\), which guarantee the existence of a heteroclinic solution between those two fixed points. In the present paper, the author considers 3 more cases (Rabinowitz condition [\textit{P. H. Rabinowitz}, Discrete Contin. Dyn. Syst. 10, No. 1--2, 507--515 (2004; Zbl 1174.35341)], almost periodicity, and coercivity) and prove the existence of heteroclinic solutions in those cases.
