The Farrell-Jones conjecture for fundamental groups of graphs of abelian groups (Q748379)

This article proves that the Farrell-Jones conjecture in algebraic \(K\)- and in \(L\)-theory [J. Am. Math. Soc. 6, No. 2, 249--297 (1993; Zbl 0798.57018)] holds for fundamental groups of graph of groups whose vertex groups are abelian and, in particular, for generalised Baumslag-Solitar groups. It relies on previously known cases (and stability properties) of the conjecture and properties of graphs of groups see [\textit{J.-P. Serre}, Astérisque 46, 189 p. (1977; Zbl 0369.20013)].
