This paper offers an alternative to the standard method of applying the Schauder-Tychonoff theorem to establish the existence of solutions to mixed initial and final value problems for a system \(x'=Fx\) \((t>t_ 0)\) of functional differential equations. It is shown that the usual requirement that the integrals of the norm of vector fields all converge uniformly for all x can be replaced by the conditional convergence of the integrals of vector fields. The obtained results also provide certain estimates on the rate of convergence.
