The Hodge-Tate period domain associated to a Shimura datum of Hodge type and a prime \(p\) admits two stratifications: the Newton stratification, which classifies isogeny classes of \(p\)-divisible groups, and the Ekedahl-Oort stratification, which classifies isomorphism classes of \(p\)-torsion group schemes. For a quaternionic Shimura curve and a prime \(p\) at which the quarternion algebra is unramified, the associated Hodge-Tate period domain consists of a single Newton stratum -- the supersingular stratum. However, its Ekedahl-Oort stratification is nontrivial. This paper gives an explicit description of the Ekedahl-Oort stratification in this case for \(p>2.\) Let \(C\) denote the completion of an algebraic closure of \(\mathbb{Q}_p,\) and write \(X(C)\) for the Hodge-Tate period domain associated to a quaternionic Shimura curve. The author shows that after base change to the unique unramified quadratic extension of \(\mathbb{Q}_p\), \(X(C)\) becomes isomorphic to the projective line over \(C\). The author constructs a function from \(X(C)\) to the set of isomorphism classes of finite group schemes endowed with an action of \(\Delta/p\Delta\), where \(\Delta\) is the unique maximal order in the unique quaternion division algebra over \(\mathbb{Q}_p.\) The fibers of this map are precisely the Ekedahl-Oort strata of \(X(C)\). The author shows that \(X(C)\) consists of three superspecial strata and two infinite families of nonsuperspecial strata, all of which are characterized by conditions on \(\operatorname{ord}(\tau)\) for \(\tau \in C.\) The author also gives an explicit recipe for computing the Dieudonné module of the \(p\)-torsion group scheme attached to a point of \(X(C)\).
