Let G be a combinatorially aspherical (CA) group and let (X;R) be a concise CA presentation of G [\textit{I. M. Chiswell}, \textit{D. J. Collins}, and \textit{J. Huebschmann}, Math. Z. 178, 1-36 (1981; Zbl 0443.20030)]. Then a so-called Lyndon resolution of \({\mathbb{Z}}\) over \({\mathbb{Z}}G\) may be constructed from (X;R). The paper under review offers an explicit diagonal map for such resolutions. Moreover it is shown that this diagonal map can be used to obtain a description of cup products on cohomology and of their duals on homology, called cup coproducts in the paper, in the case when they exist. Reviewer's remark: The assertion in the reviewer's paper [J. Pure Appl. Algebra 14, 137-143 (1978; Zbl 0396.20021)] (cited as [5] in the paper under review) that small cancellation groups are CA rested upon an argument due to \textit{R. C. Lyndon} [Math. Ann. 166, 208-228 (1966; Zbl 0138.257)] which was found later to be incomplete. A complete argument was given in a paper by \textit{D. J. Collins} and the reviewer [Math. Ann. 261, 155-183 (1982; Zbl 0477.20019)] where also more details can be found. The fact that small cancellation groups are CA is mentioned in the paper under review.
