Notes on non-discrete subgroups of Û(1,n;F) (Q795179)

Let \({\mathbb{F}}\) denote the field \({\mathbb{R}}\) of real numbers, the field \({\mathbb{C}}\) of complex numbers, or the division ring of real quaternions \({\mathbb{K}}\). Let \(V=V^{1,n}({\mathbb{F}})\) denote the (right) vector space \({\mathbb{F}}^{n+1}\), together with the \({\mathbb{F}}\)-Hermitian form \({\tilde \Phi}\)(z,w)\(=-(\bar z_ 0w_ 1+\bar z_ 1w_ 0)+\bar z_ 1w_ 2+...+\bar z_ nw_ n\). Û(1,n;\({\mathbb{F}})\) is the automorphism group of the form \({\tilde \Phi}\)(z,w). Two sufficient conditions for subgroups of Û(1,n;\({\mathbb{F}})\) to be non-discrete are given.
