The author develops some general iterative methods in n-metric space. The obtained results provide an estimate of the error at the start of oscillation, characterizing sequences of a floating-point system. Stopping criteria are provided at that stage. The developed method is applied to the solution of the problem [see \textit{M. Urabe,} Funkc. Ekvacioj, Ser. Int. 9, 43-60 (1966; Zbl 0168.065)] \(x'=X(x,t)\), \(\sum^{N}_{i=0}L_ ix(t_ i)=\ell\), where \(t_ 0<t_ 1<...<t_ N\); \(L_ i(0\leq i\leq N)\) are \(n\times n\) matrices, and \(\ell\) is an \(n\times 1\) vector.
