    The results of \textit{K. J. Åström} [Lect. Notes Control Inf. Sci. 24, 1-20 (1980; Zbl 0463.93059)] concerning the design of discrete-time integrating regulators for process plants are extended to the multivariable case and to systems with nonmonotonic step responses. The use of second order deadbeat approximate plant models to increase the possible range of sampling rates is also considered.
