Supersymmetric quantum theory (SSQT) is considered in view of perturbation theory. It is first shown in an abstract framework that SSQT may give rise to very singular perturbations, which make perturbation theories for eigenvalues (typically ground state energies) of the Hamiltonians or possibly for other quantities invalid. Then, the abstract results are applied to a class of supersymmetric quantum mechanics, called Witten's model, to obtain many families of singular quantum mechanical Hamiltonians. Some concrete examples revealing their singularness are discussed in detail. In some of them, one can obtain an estimate in terms of the perturbation parameter g for the perturbed ground (or first excited) state energy, which does not converge to the unperturbed one as g tends to zero.
