Smooth interpolation over hypercubes (Q802273)

This paper generalizes the idea of \(C^ 1\) Coons' surface patches to higher-dimensional interpolants. This is, in principle, not hard to do, and so the main contribution of this paper is the treatment of ''twist incompatibilities''. These were first considered by J. Gregory in 1974. The resulting interpolant, ''Gregory's square'' serves as the basis for an inductive construction of the hypercube interpolant.
