Using the different definitions of fuzzy topology given by \textit{C. L. Chang} [ibid. 24, 182-190 (1968; Zbl 0167.510)] and by \textit{R. Lowen} [ibid. 56, 621-633 (1976; Zbl 0342.54003)] the authors aim in this note to get a certain compatibility among the concepts of fuzzy \(T_ 0\)-, \(R_ 0\)-, and \(T_ 1\)-spaces, paralleling their topological counterparts and also to equip these with some other desirable features. This has led to a modification of the existing definitions of fuzzy \(T_ 0\) and \(R_ 0\) concepts and the new definitions seem to be more appropriate.
