A stability analysis of the finite difference schemes of Runge-Kutta type approximating abstract differential equations in Banach spaces is presented. Using the previously developed abstract theory [cf. the author, Dokl. Akad. Nauk SSSR 297, 275-279 (1987; Zbl 0662.65048)] the author gives some sufficient conditions for the stability of the proposed methods and an a priori estimate for its solution in any norm in the Banach space. In particular, estimates in the discrete \(L_{ph}\)-spaces, \(1\leq p\leq \infty\), can be obtained in this way.
