The authors extend the theory of parabolic singular integral operators which were considered on the surface of a \(C^{1+\epsilon}\) cylinder by \textit{E. B. Fabes} and \textit{M. Jodeit} [Proc. Symp. Pure Math. 10, 82-105 (1967; Zbl 0157.417)] to the case of the surface of a \(C^ 1\) cylinder for operators having parabolically homogeneous kernels of even order. The main result, Theorem 1.2, shows that the symbol of such an operator is independent of the coordinates. They remark that the results obtained in this paper have been utilized in a paper of theirs on boundary value problems in \(C^ 1\) cylinders for second order parabolic equations with coefficients satisfying a Dini condition [Rend. Math. Appl., VII. Ser. 7, No.3/4, 335-351 (1987; Zbl 0694.35076)].
