The authors consider the problem of the magnetic field above the earth's surface caused by buried power lines. They provide a flowchart for a program which permits the use of personal computers (the method of windows) for a boundary element analysis. A comparison is given between experimental and theoretical results for a number of problems and the agreement appears to be satisfactory.
