Let \(A\) be a locally compact Hausdorff topological MV-algebra, and \(O(A)\) the frame of its open sets. In this paper it proved that, for every frame \(K\), the family \(\text{Hom}(O(A),K)\) of all frame homomorphisms of \(O(A)\) into \(K\) is endowed with a natural MV-algebraic structure. If in addition \(K\) is spatial, and \(pt(K)\) denotes the space of its points, then the algebra of all continuous maps from \(pt(K)\) into \(A\) is a subalgebra of the MV-algebra \(\text{Hom}(O(A), K)\). The paper contains further results along these lines. For background on MV-algebras see the monograph by \textit{R. L. O. Cignoli}, \textit{I. M. L. D'Ottaviano} and \textit{D. Mundici} [Algebraic foundations of many-valued reasoning, Dordrecht: Kluwer Academic Publishers (2000; Zbl 0937.06009)]. For frames see the paper by \textit{C. H. Dowker} and \textit{D. Strauss} [``Products and sums in the category of frames'', Lect. Notes Math. 540, 208--219 (1976; Zbl 0332.54005)].
