The authors associate to a given metric fractal with the doubling property, another metric fractal that is equi-Hölder equivalent to an Euclidean fractal. This leads to their main result, saying that each finite-dimensional compact metrizable space K containing an open uncountable zero-dimensional space Z is homeomorphic to an Euclidean fractal.
