Several properties of fuzzy implications, i.e., of extensions of the classical Boolean implication acting on \(\{0,1\}\) into the \([0,1]\) scale, are given and studied in relation with some special classes of fuzzy implications. Special attention is paid to QL-implications (quantum logic implications) \(I:[0,1]^2 \to[0,1]\), \(I(x,y)=S(N(x)),T(x,y))\), where \(S\) is a triangular conorm (extension of disjunction), \(N\) a strong fuzzy negation (involutive extension of negation) and \(T\) a triangular norm (extension of conjunction). The authors focus a major part of this paper to the study of the first-place antitonicity of QL-implications, introducing some sufficient and necessary conditions. For special cases, the coincidence of QL-implications with other special types of fuzzy implications \((S\)-implications, residual implications) is proved or disproved, with an open problem left.
