Lorenz like Smale flows on three-manifolds (Q842972)

The paper studies Lorenz-like Smale flows on 3-manifolds. It gives an extension of M. Sullivan's results concerning Lorenz Smale flows on \(S^3\). By employing combinatorical tools, the author firstly gives a discussion of a classification of the topological conjugacy classes of Lorenz-like Smale flows on \(S^3\). Secondly, the author investigates which 3-manifolds admit Lorenz-like Smale flows, and for particular cases (associated with closed orientable 3-manifolds) in which this is the case, the author then gives a classification of the possible types of Lorenz-like Smale flows.
