The main result in this article is topological transitivity of the geodesic flow for the Weil-Petersson metric on real two-dimensional moduli spaces of hyperbolic structures. Topological transitivity has already been proved for all moduli spaces of hyperbolic structures by \textit{J. Brock, H. Masur} and \textit{Y. Minsky} [Geom. Funct. Anal. 19, No. 5, 1229--1257 (2010; Zbl 1216.32007)]. In the article at hand a different and new approach of proof is presented. It combines the density of singular unit tangent vectors, a shadowing lemma to approximate piecewise geodesics by geodesic chords, the geometry of cusps and convexity properties of the space. Moreover, the authors prove that the number of closed geodesics grows exponentially with the length. Further they show the existence of horseshoes, invariant sets with positive topological entropy, and that the volume entropy is infinite.
