The authors establish a class of new inequalities about the Bernstein polynomial. Using these inequalities, the bound estimation of Bézier curves and rational Bézier curves is improved. Under some conditions, the authors get better results than some previous concerning to derivative bounds. Also a better estimation of the heights of Bézier curves and rational Bézier curves is provided.
