Jacquet modules of induced representations for \(p\)-adic special orthogonal groups (Q855951)

Jacquet module methods play an increasingly important role in the analysis of parabolically induced representations, especially for the classical \(p\)-adic groups \(Sp(2n,F)\), \(SO(2n+1,F)\) and \(O(2n,F)\). Central to this is the ability to efficiently calculate Jacquet modules of induced representations. In the case of \(Sp(2n,F)\) and \(SO(2n+1,F)\), this was provided by M. Tadić. The author remarks that such results were previously given for \(GL(n, F)\) by A. Zelevinsky, even though they did not play a central role in the analysis of induced representations for general linear groups due to the availability of other techniques for these groups. The purpose of this paper is to provide an analogous result for \(SO(2n,F)\).
