The paper is concerned with preconditioned iterative methods for the solution of elliptic problems with Dirichlet or Robbin boundary condition. The authors extend several preconditioners previously designed for uniform meshes over the unit domain, to the case of non-uniform meshes and different boundary conditions. Numerical experiments and comparisons are presented for 1D and 2D problems.
