Let \(C\) be a category of \(B\)-module algebras over a bialgebra \(B\). An element \(F\in B\otimes B\) is a twisting element for \(C\) if \((\varepsilon\otimes 1)F=1\otimes 1=(1\otimes\varepsilon)F\) and \([(\Delta\otimes 1)(F)](F\otimes 1)=[(1\otimes\Delta)(F)](1\otimes F)\). If \(A\) is an associative algebra in \(C\) with multiplication \(\mu\), then \(A\) with multiplication \(\mu\circ F\) is also an associative algebra. Suppose that \(H\) is a quasitriangular Hopf algebra with \(R\)-matrix \(R\). Then \(R_{21}\), the switch of \(R\), is a twisting element for \(H\)-module algebras. The authors apply this approach to two-parameter restricted algebras \(u_{r,s}(\mathfrak{sl}_n)\) [see the paper by \textit{G. Benkart, S. Witherspoon}, in Proc. 10th int. conf. algebras and related topics, ICRA X, Fields Inst. Commun. 40, 293-318 (2004; Zbl 1048.16020)]. If \(r,s\) are roots of one, then \(u_{r,s}(\mathfrak{sl}_n)\) is a Drinfeld double with \(R\)-matrix \(R\) admitting a factorization. It is shown that the one of corresponding factors of \(R_{21}\) is a twisting element. There are given many examples showing the explicit form of this twisting factor. The case of infinite-dimensional (non-restricted) two-parameter algebras \(U_{r,s}(\mathfrak{sl}_n)\) is also considered.
